Most of your day in IntelliDesk can be done without the mouse. Most shortcuts are a single key, with no Ctrl or Cmd. On macOS, use Cmd wherever this article says Ctrl.
Anywhere in the app
| Shortcut | What it does |
|---|---|
| Ctrl + K | Open or close the command palette: jump to a ticket by number, search, or go to any page |
| / | Open the command palette (when you're not typing in a box) |
| Ctrl + B | Show or hide the sidebar |
In the inbox list
| Shortcut | What it does |
|---|---|
| J | Move down to the next ticket |
| K | Move up to the previous ticket |
| Enter | Open the selected ticket |
On a ticket
| Shortcut | What it does |
|---|---|
| J | Next ticket |
| K | Previous ticket |
| R | Open the reply box, ready to type |
| A | Assign the ticket to me |
| P | Mark the ticket Pending (waiting on the customer) |
| 1 – 4 | Set the priority: 1 Low, 2 Normal, 3 High, 4 Urgent |
| Shift + C | Close the ticket and go straight to the next one |
| # | Move the ticket to Trash (asks you to confirm first) |
| Esc | Back to the inbox |
When you close a ticket, a message appears at the bottom of the screen with an Undo button for a few seconds. Undo reopens the ticket with the status it had before (for example Pending) and takes you back to it.
Closing needs Shift so a stray C can't close a ticket (and send the customer a survey) by accident. # always asks before deleting, and a deleted ticket can be restored from Settings → Deleted Tickets for 30 days.
In the reply box

| Ctrl + Shift + Enter | Send the reply and close the ticket |
On a project card (full page)
| Shortcut | What it does |
|---|---|
| J | Next card |
| K | Previous card |
| Esc | Back to the board |
In the Live Chat console
| Shortcut | What it does |
|---|---|
| Alt + ↑ / Alt + ↓ | Move between your chats |
| Enter | Send your reply |
| Shift + Enter | New line in your reply |
Viewing images and attachments

When a shortcut doesn't work
- You're typing in a box. Single-key shortcuts pause while your cursor is in a text field or the reply editor, so typing "r" or "j" in a reply just types the letter. Click outside the box (or press Esc in some boxes) first.
- A menu or dialog is open. Shortcuts wait until it's closed.
- You're holding Ctrl, Cmd or Alt. Single-key shortcuts ignore key combinations, so your browser's own shortcuts (like Ctrl + C to copy) keep working.
- The arrow keys don't change tickets. On a ticket or card, use J and K. The arrow keys are left for moving the cursor in the editor.
- J/K do nothing at the end of the list. There's no next ticket in your current view. Change the inbox filters to see more.
You'll also find this list in the app under Help → Keyboard Shortcuts.
