A card is one piece of work on a project board. Click a card to open it; Open full page gives it the whole screen, with arrows to step through the board's cards.
The details
- Description: click Add a more detailed description…, write (with formatting), then Save. Refine can tidy the text up with AI.
- Status, Priority, Due date: on the right. Status moves the card between the board's columns.
- Members: the people working on it. Click + under the title to add someone from the project, or Join card to add yourself.
- Labels: the project's labels (set up in Project settings → Labels).
- Tags: workspace-wide tags, the same ones used on tickets, so you can find cards and tickets together. A card's labels are also findable as tags, so you won't see them listed twice.
Checklists
Click Checklist on the right, name it, then add items one by one. Tick items off as you go: the card on the board shows progress (for example 2/4). A card can have several checklists.
Files
Click Add file, or drop files onto the card or paste an image. Files show a preview and can be downloaded by anyone on the project.
Comments and @mentions
Write in Activity at the bottom. Type @ and a name to mention a project member; pick them with the mouse or the arrow keys and Enter. They're notified. Ctrl+Enter (or Cmd+Enter) sends the comment. The activity list also records every change to the card.
Follow a card to be notified about it without being a member.
Templates, duplicates and moving cards
- Save as template: saves the card's description, priority, labels and checklists as a template, for this project or (with Share across all projects) every project. Choose it when adding a new card.
- Duplicate: makes a copy, in this project or another, with its labels, checklists, files and members. Comments aren't copied.
- Move to project: moves the card to another project.
- Delete card: at the bottom, when a card is no longer needed.
Excel
Export at the top of the board downloads every card as an Excel workbook. See Exporting project cards to Excel.
