You can download any project board as a real .xlsx workbook — one row per card. It's the fastest way to get a planned-vs-completed view you can filter, pivot, or send to someone who doesn't use IntelliDesk.
Two ways to export
One project — open the board (Projects → click the project), then click Export in the toolbar at the top of the board.
Every project — go to Projects, then click Export all in the top-right, next to New project. This workbook covers every project you can see and adds a Project column as the first column so you can tell the rows apart.
The file downloads straight to your browser. It's named after the project and the day you ran it, for example website-redesign-cards-2026-08-27.xlsx, or all-projects-cards-2026-08-27.xlsx for the everything export.
What's in the sheet
One worksheet called Cards, with a bold frozen header row and filter arrows already switched on, so you can sort and filter the moment you open it.
| Column | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Project | Which project the card belongs to (Export all only) |
| ID | The card number, e.g. PM-1042 |
| Title | The card title |
| Stage | To Do, In Progress or Done — using your project's own stage names if you've renamed them |
| Status | The card's status label, blank if it has none |
| Completed | Yes when the card is in the Done stage, otherwise No |
| Priority | Low, Normal, High or Urgent |
| Assignee | Everyone assigned, separated by ; |
| Due Date | YYYY-MM-DD, blank if no due date is set |
| Labels | All labels on the card, separated by ; |
| Checklist | How many items are ticked, e.g. 3/5. Blank when the card has no checklist |
| Created | The date the card was created, YYYY-MM-DD |
Rows come out in the same order as the board reads: project name, then stage, then the card's position in its column.
The export ignores your board filters
This is deliberate and worth knowing. If you've filtered the board down to one assignee or one label, the export still contains every card in the project. The sheet is meant to be a complete record of the project, not a snapshot of whatever you were looking at — otherwise a file you sent to someone last month would quietly mean something different to a file you send today.
If you only want a slice, export the full sheet and filter it in Excel. The header row already has filter arrows for exactly this.
Who can export what
Exporting doesn't give you access to anything you couldn't already open:
- Export on a board works if you're a member of that project, or a manager in the workspace.
- Export all covers exactly the projects already listed on your Projects page — managers get all of them, everyone else gets the ones they're a member of.
- Archived projects are left out of Export all. To export an archived project, un-archive it first (Projects → Show archived → restore), or open it and use the board's own Export button.
Things you might run into
"Nothing to export" — the project (or every project you can see) has no cards yet. Nothing was wrong; there was simply nothing to put in the file.
A message about a 20,000-card limit — only possible on Export all, and only on very large workspaces. Export the projects one at a time instead.
Export failed — the download is built when you click, so a dropped connection mid-export can stop it. Click Export again.
