Overview
Timesheets are off until you turn them on, and they're a two-step opt-in:
- A manager switches timesheets on for the workspace.
- Each agent who wants to track time turns on Track my time for themselves (see Setting up your personal timesheet).
Nothing is recorded for anyone until they've opted in themselves.
Switching them on
Go to Settings → Timesheets (managers and admins only) and turn on Enable Timesheets. On the same page you can set:
- Default currency: used when an agent hasn't chosen their own.
- Idle threshold: how many minutes without activity before a running timer is treated as idle (1 to 60).
- Auto-capture grace: how long a quiet gap can be before Generate my day stops counting it towards the task someone was on.
- Auto-accept (trusted agents): agents whose generated days skip the review.
- Time Categories: see Time categories and charge-out rates.
Click Save changes after changing the fields.
What changes when they're on
For agents who have opted in:
- Timesheet appears in the sidebar.
- Start timer appears in the top bar and next to ticket and card titles.
Managers also get Team Timesheets under Insights, to see everyone's week and approve submitted timesheets (see Submitting a timesheet, and how managers approve it).
Switching them off
Turning Enable Timesheets off stops any running timers and hides the timesheet controls for everyone. Existing time data is kept: entries, submissions and downloads come back when you switch timesheets on again.
