Notices
A notice is an announcement you write once and show in several places: holiday hours, a new feature, planned maintenance, a warning about a phishing email. Manage them under Notices in the sidebar (under Operations).
For a problem that's happening now, use the status page and declare an incident instead (see Running the status page).
Publishing a notice
Click New notice and fill in:
- Title and Body: keep it short. Draft with AI and Polish can help.
- Kind: Info, Feature, Maintenance, Policy, Warning or Marketing. This sets the notice's colour and label.
- Where it shows (Audiences), in any combination:
- Portal: the customer portal.
- Widget: the support widget on your website.
- Status page: your public status page.
- Agent app: a banner at the top of IntelliDesk for your team.
- Email footer: a line at the bottom of emails your desks send.
- Pin to top keeps it above other notices. Dismissible lets people close it.
- Publish from schedules it to go live later. Expires takes it down on its own.
- CTA label and CTA URL add a button, for example Read more, linking to a page.
Click Publish. Without a start time, it goes live straight away.
Managing notices
Notices lists what's Currently visible, what's Scheduled, and what's Inactive / expired. On each notice you can switch it off (without deleting it), edit it, or delete it.
If someone dismisses a notice, it stays dismissed for them. Agents' dismissals follow them across devices.
